Rainer Orth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey who welcomes clients across the lifespan to his practice. He often works with individuals who are experiencing trauma, anxiety and depression, and relationship issues.

In his practice, Rainer draws from several powerful and and well-proven therapies. He is a certified EMDR practitioner, and has received advanced training in EFT ("tapping"), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Jungian Psychotherapy. Above all else, he understands that talking things out and working things through with a caring, skilled professional can help clients to successfully overcome whatever difficult challenges they are currently facing.

As a down-to-earth and well-established therapist with over 20 years of experience, Rainer warmly invites clients to contact him about his service. Message to clients

Are you feeling down, stuck, or overwhelmed? Are things just not working out despite your best efforts? If so, I know that my first priority is to listen to you in such a way that you are left feeling heard and understood. As a team, we will develop an individualized plan to turn your life around. My approach will be based on your specific needs and what works for you. In doing so, I will provide you with ongoing support along along with some highly effective tools that will decrease your distress and will leave you feeling better sooner than later.


Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse

Relationships - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating

Mindfulness - Developing practices to encourage a state of active, open attention on the present

Adolescent issues - Working with adolescents, teenagers, and parents on social, academic, and/or emotional challenges throughout teenage years; addressing anxiety, family conflicts, peer relationships, school stress, transition to college, social media pressures, self-esteem, hopelessness about the future, emotional dysregulation
