Psychologist, PsyDDr. Rebecca Luna is a Psychologist who draws from 20 years of experience with integrative and contemplative practices. Dr. Luna brings the mind-body connection to the forefront when working with clients, many of whom suffer from high levels of stress. Often, this stress comes from mental health challenges such as anxiety or depression, physical pain or trauma, or conflict related to relationships or family. Dr. Luna guides people towards a deeper understanding of themselves in order to uncover their innate healing capabilities, and to discover the patterns that affect health and happiness.
Dr. Luna takes a holistic approach to therapy, meaning that she focuses not only on the client’s emotional state but also their physical health and spiritual health. Clients learn to develop self-awareness, which can shed light on both the origin and path towards healing the distress in their lives. Dr. Luna also guides clients to an understanding of their reactivity to external and internal stressors. She enjoys bringing different types of body awareness practices into the therapy space and might incorporate mindfulness, art therapy, or sound healing.
Dr. Luna collaborates with clients as they discover their strengths and how to utilize those strengths to shift the parts of their lives that aren’t working for them. By paying attention to life’s balance, clients decrease their stress and improve their quality of life. Dr. Luna offers an inclusive space while taking into account the multitude of systems involved in each person’s unique beliefs.
