Professional statement

Ruby Orcutt offers tele-health therapy across New York State, including Albany, New York City, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, and specializes in anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome for high-functioning women.

Many of the women Ruby works with appear capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, dissatisfied and disconnected on the inside. They are caught in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, self-doubt, and survival mode, and they're ready for something different.

Ruby works with women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s: emergent leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, graduate students, and professionals in demanding careers who are navigating identity shifts, career changes, and major life transitions. These are intelligent, self-aware women who have had high-functioning anxiety and stress for years and are ready to reconnect with themselves.

Ruby’s integrative approach blends together somatic and mindfulness-based practices, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Positive Psychology to help clients connect with their inner resources and build actionable momentum toward sustainable growth.

Clients leave with reduced anxiety, stronger self-worth, healthier boundaries, and a clearer sense of who they are beyond the pressure they carry.

Ruby holds a Master's degree from Medaille College and brings extensive experience supporting women through personal, academic, and professional challenges. Her approach is rooted in compassion, clarity and mind-body awareness.

If you're a woman in New York ready to stop running on empty and start feeling like yourself again, you don't have to keep carrying this alone. Working with Ruby to redirect high functioning anxiety or high functioning stress may be your next step.

Message to clients

MY MESSAGE TO WOMEN

When you find closed doors, you open windows. When there are no resources, you become resourceful. When life feels dark, you become the light.

Women are conditioned to face stress and challenges through limiting beliefs that fuel anxiety, burnout, and self-doubt. These patterns keep you from living with intention and purpose although you are highly functional.

You already carry the values, strengths, skills, and intuition needed for meaningful growth, tools that guide you toward balance, emotional wellness, and fulfillment. I help you reconnect with those parts of yourself so you can move toward a life rooted in balance, clarity, self-trust, and fulfillment.

If we are called to create a better world, let’s create our own lives first, rooted in intention, inner peace, and self-kindness!

Client testimonials

"Ruby is great"
- Zencare client June 2023
"I'm very happy to have met Ruby through Zencare. She is incredibly thoughtful and careful through out the process off accepting patients and during sessions. Her help and support felt greatly, she had a deep understanding and experience regarding the difficulties I shared and I would strongly recommend her!"
- Zencare client March 2024
"Ruby made me feel very comfortable and validated, although I found another therapist that I feel was a better fit I wouldn’t have been able to do so without ruby letting me know I’m the most important person in this process and to choose what is best for me. I really appreciated that and will remember it for a long time"
