Professional statement

Sara Solomon is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Los Angeles. She works with adults, adolescents, couples and families to build mindful awareness of emotions along with skills to cope and communicate. Her approach is multifaceted as she recruits different modalities to identify and understand the core of an emotional reaction and work to heal it.

Her experience in the field of addiction and substance abuse provides both a compassionate and change oriented approach to the self and relationships. With intensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), she offers a variety of skills to help facilitate change while using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and psychodynamic inner-child work to cultivate compassion and emotional awareness.

She takes an individualized approach to therapy, so once triggers and patterns are identified, she then creates a treatment plan designed to help you.

Message to clients

The journey towards change looks different for everyone, and I am honored to be part of it.

My 13 years of experience in the field of addiction and substance misuse has given me a compassionate and change-oriented approach to the self and relationships. With extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), a modality that honors the balance between acceptance and change, I offer a variety of resources and skills while also using somatic parts work to build emotional awareness and heal from trauma.

I believe our dreams offer another way to heal - Dreamtending sessions provide an in-depth exploration of your dreams to cultivate creativity and a deeper connection to the unconscious self. I offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and psychedelic integration for those who are on a progressive healing journey.

It is important to recognize that different people have different personalities and styles. Make sure you feel comfortable and connected with the person you choose as a therapist. I encourage meeting with various therapists in order to find the best fit.
