Professional statement

Shannon Reynolds is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Providence, Rhode Island. Shannon has deep expertise in trauma, anxiety, interpersonal and relationship challenges, and life transitions, including career changes.

Shannon uses both talk therapy and expressive arts therapy, involving art-making, music, writing, and movement to help clients process their experiences and more deeply understand how they affect their mind, body, and spirit. Shannon also incorporates elements of acceptance and mindfulness, as well as skills-based practices, tailored to each client's wants and needs.

Shannon aims to empower her clients to take on life’s challenges in a holistic and artistic way. By gaining a new perspective on how challenges affect them across all levels of being, Shannon hopes her clients will become better attuned to their internal processes and experience greater self-acceptance.

Message to clients

Life can be challenging: relationships, life changes, routine experiences can be distressful and even traumatic. It often helps to get a deeper perspective on your distress and how it affects not only your emotions but your mind, body and spirit as well. I will help you take a holistic and even artistic approach to whatever you bring to therapy. Together we'll explore who you are and empower that person to take on life's stressors with a new and powerful outlook!
