Sophire Nelson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSWA) who enjoys working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, guilt, negative self image, emotional/energetic blockages and trauma due to negative life experiences. She is excited about working with clients who are dedicated towards living a more mindful and fulfilling life.
Sophire is a North Carolina native that is passionate about using a holistic approach while incorporating evidenced based practices such as mindfulness based cognitive therapy, breath work, somatic experiencing, DBT and emotional freedom technique, more popularly known as Tapping. She is also certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol listening therapy where she uses this innovative tool to help repattern the dysregulated nervous system. Sophire empowers her clients to release stress as they transition out of chaos and into peace.
Sophire encourages clients to delve into the underlying causes of their symptoms, helping them develop a deeper understanding of their emotional and relationship patterns. Simultaneously, she emphasizes practical approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, meditation, and other strategies to promote immediate well-being. Psychoeducation is another component that Sophire finds is helpful to most of her clients; she believes if they can understand how and why their brain and body interacts the way it does, they develop a greater sense of control and safety.
