Tiffany is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Vita Mental Health in Denver, Colorado. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. She has experience working in Residential Treatment, Community Mental Health, Outpatient Mental Health, Crisis Mental Health, Disaster Mental Health, and School-Based Mental Health settings. Tiffany is passionate about working with people of all ages and backgrounds and believe that though we may be the experts on our own lives, having another empathetic person to talk things through with can help an us reach our goals and aspirations. Some of Tiffany's areas of expertise include trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment, identity, self-esteem, grief & loss, stress management, and coping skills. While Tiffany approaches therapy from a trauma informed, client-centered, humanistic, CBT, and emotionally focused perspective, she believe that therapy is most helpful when it is a collaborative process between member and clinician. Tiffany's therapeutic style is empathetic and warm, she aims to meet you exactly where you are in an effort to best understand exactly where you would like to be.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Stress management - Strengthening effective ways of coping with the stress of life and change; managing expectations of self and others
Suicidal ideation - Support living with intense pain, distress, and feelings of persistent hopelessness; strengthening meaningful relationships and experiences in one’s life
Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
Mood disorders - Clinical depression, persistent depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders that cause disturbances in the client's mood, causing mood swings, restless sleep, and/or elevated mood
