Professional statement

Timothy Walker is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Sacramento, CA. Timothy works with college students, professionals, new parents and seasoned parents, in navigating life transitions, relationship issues, and ameliorating the impacts of trauma in the here and now.

Timothy’s approach to therapy includes Jungian, Feminist, and existential elements. He seeks to establish a space where you can feel safe and secure. A space without judgement or shame. A space where you are free to be and say what ever you want. Without this, many of us go years unable to experience our complete and integrated being, and we remain strangers even unto ourselves.

Timothy has observed that our lives are segmented by beginnings and endings, and the periodic stagnant moments between the two. It is at these junctures we often find ourselves thrust into the fires of change. It is Timothy's belief that healing is possible, and like the mythical phoenix, sometimes we must walk into those flames, to rise from the ashes, revitalized, renewed, reborn.

Message to clients

Fit is everything! As much as you might glean from reading my profile or looking at my pictures or watching the video, only by sharing space and holding conversation can you begin to see how working with me will feel. Send me an email or call to schedule a brief consult and see if my approach is right for YOU. I am always honored to be chosen to travel alongside my clients on their journey, even if it is only for a chapter or two in the long novel of their life. Together we can unravel the tangled knots of memory and emotion, make meaning out of static and noise, process dreams and goals, and help you find the certainty we are all seeking about who we are and who we want to become.
