Professional statement

Traci Bovino is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Edwards, CO. Traci specializes in helping clients move past addictions, including substance use and eating disorders. Traci’s clients come to therapy because they feel stuck in their lives, many of them having previously tried to quit unhealthy habits but to no avail. Traci supports these clients as they explore their motivation for change and as they set out their goals for what a healthy, fulfilling life looks like.

Traci’s approach to therapy draws from multiple evidence-based therapy modalities. She teaches clients mindfulness-based therapy exercises and gives them the tools they need to become self-aware of their physical and emotional states. She also brings Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) into each session so that clients learn how to monitor their thoughts for harmful patterns, assumptions, or self-criticisms. Her goal is to boost clients’ self-esteem and empower them to not let their behaviors impact their quality of life or sense of meaning.

Traci earned a Master’s degree from the University of Denver. She has a clinical background in outpatient and residential treatment programs, as well as DUI and drug court settings. She is a Licensed Addiction Counselor and helps clients reclaim their lives.

Message to clients

I can help you get where you want to go. I can help because I too have been there. I understand what it feels like to know that life can be better than it is. To realize my habits prevented me from the life I dreamed of living.

My Mission:

People often ask me, "Why did you want to be a therapist?"

For me, It's building these connections with my clients and helping people overcome some of the most challenging experiences of their lives. Not only do I have the personal experience, but I also have extensive training in treating substance use, eating disorders, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.

When we are not working together...

Outside work, I live in the Vail Valley with my partner and our wonderful dog. I spend my free time hiking, snowboarding, whitewater kayaing, cross country skiing, camping, mountain biking, and splitboarding. We love to travel to both new and familiar places to explore and play outside.
