Professional statement

My clientele ranges from women of all ages, to adolescents, families and couples. My approach is strength-based, trauma-informed and rooted in mindfulness. I meet you where you are, support you to identify your goals and create a plan to guide you to become the best version of yourself. During my time at Columbia University I focused my studies on how race impacts identity formulation, trauma-informed practices to best support clients and mindfulness. My post-graduate training was at the Ackerman Institute where I formalized my passion for couples and family therapy. Wherever you are is where you are meant to be. I help you understand yourself in new ways and gain insight as to where you are going.

Message to clients

Do you feel as if your thoughts and feelings have more control over you than you do your own self? Do you find yourself disappointed in your relationships? Are you in a relationship but feel stuck? Do you find yourself dating the same “type” of a person over and over again? Are you sexually dissatisfied? You are not alone. Oftentimes we find ourselves stuck and trapped in a vicious cycle of self-sabotage, guilt, shame, and then the consequential question, “how did I end up back here?” Let’s change that.

Not all thoughts are truths and not all feelings have to hold meaning. Let me support you in your self-discovery of undoing systems of power such as the patriarchy and racism within us that keep us feeling confined. I am here to help you break this cycle of feeling disappointed with yourself and other people. Our work together will inspire you to reconnect with your truth, mind, body, and spirit. Through intentional breath work, mindfulness, trauma processing and inner-child healing let’s come together to bring you back home to yourself.

My specialties include anxiety, depression, women empowerment, sex therapy, and couples therapy. Ultimately, my goal as a therapist is to facilitate a nonjudgmental, safe space to make certain you are seen, heard, and held. You are strong. You are beautiful. You are not broken. You are exactly where you are meant to be. Let’s do this.
