Anahita (Ana) Kashefi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Couples and Sex Therapist, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist in the Bay Area. She hold licenses in California, Utah, and Colorado allowing her to see clients across these states.
Ana specializes in ketamine and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and issues unique to the creative field. Her approach is relational, attachment-based and in-depth, characterized by warmth, compassion and collaboration.
She helps individuals gather a deeper understanding of their thoughts and patterns, improve self-worth, and live a life with purpose, meaning, and connection. As a relationship specialist, she works with both individuals and couples to address relationship challenges, communicate effectively and empathically, uncover and work through relational patterns to heal old wounds and make healthier and more fulfilling choices.
Ana also comes from a strong creative background that gives her a unique understanding of the industry & those in creative fields. She frequently works with performers, artists, and writers coping with issues unique to the creative fields – such as creative blocks, performance anxiety and perfectionism getting in the way of reaching their full potential.
Ana brings warmth, compassion, and insight, where clients can explore their feelings in a nonjudgmental and safe space. She draws from psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory and CBT modalities within a creative framework to help clients set realistic goals and work toward change. Ana is also a skilled clinician in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy for those who suffer from anxiety, depression, or trauma and interested in an alternate healing modality.
Previous to her psychotherapy background, Ana also worked with one of the nation’s leading dating coaches and matchmakers and brings this perspective into her work in helping individuals navigate the modern dating world.
