Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCHe/Him/His
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCBrian Hager is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who works with adults across the life span with a focus on relationships, trauma, and addiction. Many of his clients are looking to ease symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress in their important relationships. Brian walks alongside his clients, empowering them to navigate the transitions of life in romantic relationships and breakups, job losses and gains, moving and starting over, and grief and loss. Brian specializes in assisting clients to work through significant trauma.
Brian is trained as an Emotionally Focused Couple and Family Therapist and Addiction Counselor with a trauma informed approach based in Attachment Theory. Clients quickly learn skills to calm their nervous system, and respond to internal and external stressors with much less reactivity and intense emotions of fear, worry, and panic. Through understanding how the body, mind, and emotions work together, clients experience more confidence in themselves in all aspects of their lives.
Brian is focused on clients experiencing real progress, and not just talking about concerns. The space he creates is safe, non-judgmental, and calming, while the process focuses on what the client needs at the moment. Brian introduces mindfulness practices that are trauma informed to address the influence of the past on the present day.
Brian’s first priority with a new client and throughout the counseling process is to provide a secure environment for people of all backgrounds and cultures. He is experienced as a telehealth provider, and welcomes new clients to his online practice.
