Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWBrooke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of clinical experience treating pregnant and parenting families, couples, and individuals experiencing identity shifts in their lives (young adults, new parents, etc.). She is well versed in working with people navigating changes in their life, specifically around family planning and care (fertility, pregnancy, parenting), and want help managing stress, anxieties, depression, and fears related to these life changes. Her work centers on the mental health of pregnant and postpartum people and their families. Psychologically, the perinatal period is a time of tremendous opportunity for growth, reflection, and repair; it can also bring unanticipated emotional experiences that can feel isolating and uncomfortable. Brooke's compassionate expertise help you move through life's transitions with more clarity and ease.
Brooke specializes in helping clients understand generational relationship patterns and identify ways to work with previous experiences to gain insight and live a fully integrated and realized life. She offers expertise in treating perinatal mood and anxiety, trauma, attachment issues, relationship difficulties, family conflict, depression and anxiety symptoms. There are times we could all benefit from a safe, honest, and nonjudgmental space to process our experiences but finding a therapist can be at best daunting and at worst discouraging. Brooke's primary goal is to build a warm, collaborative relationship together designed to foster clarity and help you go forward as more fully realized human.
At this time, all sessions are held remotely via HIPPA compliant Zoom.
Attachment issues - Development of effective relational and communication skills; insight into family attachment patterns;fostering healthy family relationships.
Postpartum depression - Coping with persistent feelings of sadness, exhaustion, and/or being overwhelmed after the birth of a child; developing strategies for more positive thought patterns and behaviors.
Pregnancy, perinatal, postpartum mental health - Addressing issues specific to women and families during the pregnancy and postpartum period, including postpartum depression and anxiety
Relationship issues - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating
Childhood trauma - Learning how traumatic events in childhood can translate into adulthood; processing through difficult memories with the goal of moving past the experience and lingering symptoms
Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) - Recovering from the impact of long-term, repeated traumatic events, such as emotional abuse and neglect
