Brooke English is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and registered yoga teacher practicing remotely in New York and Florida. She has 10 years of experience working with clients struggling to overcome anxiety, depression, or past trauma. Brooke is particularly passionate about helping people process complex childhood trauma, domestic violence, and relationship dynamics. Many of Brooke's clients are highly sensitive people with low self-esteem who are trying to make sense of their feelings. They may be having a hard time controlling worries or feelings of sadness.
Brooke is trained in traditional modalities such as psychodynamic theory, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Trauma. Brooke also has advanced training in applying yogic theory and techniques for trauma treatment. She uses a holistic and integrative approach to tailor treatment plans to each individual client's needs.
Brooke empowers her clients by meeting them where they're at and going at their pace. She uses a strengths-based perspective to help them activate their energy to reach their goals. In addition to providing clients with classic tools, Brooke guides many clients in mindfulness practices, including deep breathwork, relaxation, and body awareness.
Brooke earned her Masters degree in Social Work from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work. Her style is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and down-to-earth. Brooke focuses on building rapport with each client to create a relationship where clients instinctively know they are safe to express vulnerable feelings.
