Cherie Mills LCSW is a psychotherapist in Austin TX. She specializes in helping people in middle and later adulthood struggling with tough transitions such as, a profound loss, a betrayal, the realization of a mental health or addiction issue, an identity crisis following a significant life change. She offers both a warmth and strength of expertise to process the impacts of life events. Since 1996 when she became licensed to practice psychotherapy, Cherie has been helping people work through and find deeper healing around issues including anxiety, codependency, grief and loss, guilt and shame, addiction recovery, relationship issues, and trauma. Therapy with Cherie is relational, directive, and respects the mind/body connection. She is extensively trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and makes this her primary therapeutic approach. Her other training includes Cognitive Processing Therapy, IPNB, and Energy Psychology approaches including EFT-Tapping and AIT-energy work involving use of the chakra system for energetic clearing.
