Dr. Crysty Mroczenski is a mental health therapist (LPCA) in South Austin, currently supervised by Rolanda Bowman, LPCS. She works with adult individuals and couples. Many of Dr. Crysty’s clients come in to address anxiety, life transitions, maternal mental health, or relationship issues. Dr. Crysty is particularly passionate about serving new mothers, couples in the any stage of their relationship, and individuals struggling with substance use.
Dr. Crysty is well educated in cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and holistic approaches, in which we focus on the strengths and utilize them to address what is currently creating challenges. In session, Dr. Crysty focuses on utilizing your strengths, grounding techniques, and cognitive restructuring. This approach supports clients in being able to accept themselves in their present space while planning for what and where they want to be.
Dr. Crysty's style is eclectic, compassionate, and non-judgmental. When clients first start therapy, we will establish a collaborative relationship by maintaining a comfortable environment where they feel safe and understood. She also has a passion and excitement for helping clients become curious about themselves and their challenges so they can be their own advocates in sessions and in their lives.
Dr. Crysty received her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and PhD in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior from Capella University. She has worked at local clinics that help community members struggling with substance use and areas of growth surrounding that. Outside of private practice, she enjoys making music and trying new recipes. Both in-person and telehealth sessions are currently available.
