Professional statement

Cynthia Elizabeth Kamajian-Duncan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Ossining, NY. She welcomes adults of all ages into her therapy practice, including individuals, couples and families. She tends to work with clients who face chronic illness or medical conditions that disrupt their daily lives, including those with cancer diagnoses and their families. Cynthia also supports people whose anxiety or depression negatively impacts their lives, as well as those facing grief after a loss or healing after trauma.

Cynthia’s approach to therapy draws from multiple modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, psychodynamic therapy, and attachment-based therapy. Clients learn from Cynthis how to better understand their thoughts and feelings, and how they may result in certain behaviors, even if those behaviors are unhealthy. She provides compassionate support as clients engage in self-exploration and establish healthy coping strategies to use outside of session.

Cynthia earned a Master’s degree in Social Work and has a certification from the Board of Oncology Social Work. She brings sincere kindness into each one of her sessions as she helps clients to navigate the ups and downs of life and to adjust to change.
