Professional statement

I'm a Latinx (bilingual) licensed psychologist in New York, Florida and Puerto Rico. I'm also the Founder of Feelthentic Therapy Group, PLLC a clinic that offers online therapy services to residents of New York, Florida and Puerto Rico. Having a diverse clinical and cultural background, makes my approach to therapy very inclusive and respectful of clients individual differences. My psychodynamic approach, alongside a trauma-informed framework, promotes a space to explore and understand unconscious processes that impact one’s feelings, thoughts and behaviors, rooted in past painful experiences that show up in our daily lives.

My areas of expertise include complex trauma/PTSD, immigration and Latinx psychology, and health psychology. I have extensive clinical experience in treating people impacted by different traumatic events, minoritized clinical populations providing individual, group, couples, and families.

Message to clients

The therapeutic process should be treated with upmost respect and care. It is a space to gain a deeper understanding of the complexity of our unconscious dynamics that keep us stuck, or repeating unhealthy patterns. I believe I the power of revisiting the past with new insights and perspective to be able to understand your present and presenting symptoms.

My trauma-informed approach aims at rebuilding self-trust while understanding the mechanisms underlying these symptoms that we see in a surface level.

We all are made of different parts, some of these parts, often serve a protective function, to prevent us from being hurt again. These parts, which are often misunderstood, are at the center of our inner conflicts due to their paradoxical nature. Underneath these protective parts, there is our authentic selves longing for connection, and waiting to be seen, heard and understood.

Guiding you through this live changing journey, in a safe and non-judgmental manner, while helping you confront difficult realities, is at the center of my work as a psychologist.
