Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCI have 10 years of experience in Psychiatric Hospitals/Facilities and Community based agencies. I specialize in African American psychology, and how the residual effects of slavery, racism, systematic stressors, toxic culture norms and religious trauma hinders our relationship building, hinders our happiness and exacerbates our stress.
In addition, I also have a strong background in trauma, depression, anxiety, several forms of psychosis and personality disorders.
My community focus are Black and Brown people but I am clinically and culturally competent to help all people heal and become better, regardless of race or ethnicity.
The reality is lot of people have been hurt by people who should have loved them (parents, friends, family, caregivers, institutions) As a result we have developed Toxic ways of connecting, parenting, loving each other, loving self and building relationships. The pain from this toxicity can paralyze our peace and hinder our happiness.
