Professional statement

Ellen Wijnberg became a therapist more than 30 years ago when she saw how powerful therapy was in her own life and in the lives of her family members. She began to believe that everyone can benefit from therapy if they are well-matched to the therapist they are working with.

Over the course of Ellen's 30 years in the field, she has developed specialties in trauma-informed care, PTSD (working with both active duty soldiers, veterans, and civilians), LGBTQ+ topics, depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, women’s empowerment, relationships, and gaining a strong sense of self in the face of challenging life circumstances. She only uses evidence-based, proven treatment methods, such as EMDR and CBT.

Ellen is proud to have been on staff for some of the finest behavioral health institutions in the country, including the US Army and Yale University Medical School, and she looks forward to discussing further how she can help you reach your goals.
