Professional statement

I specialize in relationships, emotions, self-esteem, and culture. I bring a warm approach to therapy, informed by life experiences in Europe and Asia. I taught the practice of psychotherapy to graduate students and now supervise psychotherapists in training. I work with adults, teenagers, couples, and families.

I integrate approaches that provide empathy, bring tools to help regulate the nervous system, and develop self-awareness. These bring direct relief with regards to stress and immediate issues. Over the long-term basis, they support self-esteem, risk assessment, empowerment, vibrancy, quality of relationship, and meaning.

I came to studying and practicing psychotherapy after having discovered the meaning of fatherhood. I lived in France, Spain, Denmark, and Taiwan and bring an approach informed by culture. Prior to psychotherapy, I worked and received graduate education in engineering and business administration prior to becoming a psychotherapist.

I see clients in person in Laguna Beach, and Santa Barbara, or online.
