Message to clients

Clients often seek me out after years of suffering from difficult feelings that may include guilt, shame and self critical thoughts. They often present with low self confidence, conflicted feelings and can have difficulty connecting to their authentic self. I address these concerns with an emotion focused lens. We spend time understanding your experiences, preferences and desires for healing. I firmly believe that an attuned psychotherapy relationship can heal trauma sustained in past relationships. I work experentially, not as an expert but an ally. Together we will pay attention to the emotions, patterns and reaction that maintain symptoms such as low mood and anxiety. We will connect historical experiences that drive present ways of relating and discuss them in the context of the therapy.
