Marisa Etting is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional, and the owner of the group practice, ME Psychotherapy. She specializes in women's mental health, postpartum depression, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, infertility, relationship difficulties, academic stress, and parenting support. She also sees individuals experiencing challenging life transitions, such as adjusting to college and separating from one's family.
Marisa enjoys helping mothers and couples adjust to new parenthood and has received specific training in postpartum mental health. She understands that parenthood involves both physical and mental change, and aids her clients in finding balance to deal with these shifts and the demands of adaptation. For new mothers, she offers support around challenges such as postpartum depression, insomnia, and attachment issues with babies. She finds that perinatal concerns can dramatically improve with better coping skills, and that therapy can help mothers realize growth both as an individual and as a parent.
Marisa utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness Practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brief Solution Based Therapy, and Supportive Therapy to give her clients a comprehensive approach to mental health. No matter the situation, Marisa is dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients to feel heard and understood. She is Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C).
