Professional statement

Mark is eager and equipped to walk alongside 20-40 somethings (or 50-60!) who are stuck in narratives of self-defeat, loss, depression, anxiety, or overall overwhelm. Adulting has become more challenging each passing year. In fact, as you're noticing, life is much harder than you thought it would be. Such misfire of expectations often leads to issues of grief, unidentified loss, depression and anxiety.

Mark has been practicing as a licensed psychotherapist since 2010 after a second career change to counseling. His personal story and experience living overseas for over 10 years have uniquely qualified him to be sensitive about your own stories of upheaval and burden related to major life and relational transitions.

Combining aspects of cognitive, early childhood trauma healing, and EMDR, Mark just might be a good fit for navigating your healing journey. Additionally, his holistic approach—spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, behavioral—to healing the soul guides the entire therapeutic process. You are way more than just your emotional and psychological problems.

Mark is here for you in Richardson, Texas for in-person appointments, and on secure video if you reside anywhere in the great state of Texas.

Message to clients

Though now a young 60-something I totally connect with those in their 20s through early 40s. My current clientele is exclusively in this age bracket. This leads me to believe that this demographic just works well with my personal and therapeutic style. And to the point, I really enjoy working with these younger folks. It is a wonderful experience to see each client change in response to the therapeutic process we set up together and know that they have made significant progress at an important stage of their life. These changes will reap benefits for their families and communities.

I hold faith, hope and love out to you as you spend this time investigating the many therapists listed here:

Faith, that you will tap into your agency to make a good choice;

Hope, that you will go wholeheartedly for the deep change you've been longing for; and

Love, that you will find that balance between relying on yourself and dependence on others, or even a higher power.

Therapy is hard. But I will be with you and help you find your way through. It's time to stop doing life on your own.
