Dr. Max Friedmann is a clinical psychologist in private practice in New York and New Jersey. He specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges.

Dr. Friedmann supports clients/patients in expressing emotion, identifying recurring patterns, and focusing on interpersonal relations. He strives for a balance of challenge and support.

Dr. Friedmann attended Stanford University and The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. He works part time at the NYU School of Medicine World Trade Center Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence with 9/11 first responders coping with PTSD, depression, anxiety, and panic.

Dr. Friedmann can meet in-person in Midtown Manhattan or in Bloomfield, New Jersey (near Montclair). He also meets via Zoom.

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
