Professional statement

Hi, I’m Meagan. I offer mindfulness-based counseling, primarily through the lens of Gestalt Therapy. This means that in session we focus on the here and now, a gentle journey of self-awareness and self-discovery. I’m passionate about helping you find personal freedom, inner peace, empowerment, self-trust, and a life lived in choice. I incorporate art and drawing practices into sessions, as called. My practice is grounded in Buddhist philosophy, and I may pull from a variety of mindfulness-based modalities throughout a session. I believe the therapeutic relationship is most important, and I’m dedicated in meeting you exactly where you are, and we work from that place together guided by your inner wisdom. If you’re interested in deepening your connection to self and spirit, I’m here for it.

My background includes practicing mindfulness in daily living for the past two decades, working with clients one-on-one in a social work setting for eleven years, and have worked in transformational life coaching with clients for the past decade. Over the past two years, I’ve been a counselor for survivors of domestic violence and complex trauma.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and graduated from Naropa University with a master’s degree in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Mental Health Counseling.

Message to clients

This is your journey and I’d be honored to walk with you while you navigate your internal and external life landscapes. From my own journey I’ve learned that asking for help or support can be one of the hardest things to do, especially when I need it the most. I hope taking the first step of just reaching out for support will help you get from a place of feeling stuck to a place of movement and direction. So please feel welcome to reach out to me directly. From there, we can schedule a free consultation call, of approximately 20 minutes, where we can connect and see if working together feels like a good fit.
