Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW Practice: Resilience LabAs a therapist, Nathaniel knows that even the idea of therapy can be intimidating. Taking the time to interrogate our thoughts, feelings, behaviors and relationships in order to improve the quality of our lived experience is a process requiring personal bravery and commitment. It is this bravery and commitment that he strives to honor by creating a therapy space that allows you to be your whole, authentic self without the fear of judgement or stigma. Nathaniel believes deeply that every individual seeking therapeutic services is unique and valuable, a belief at the center of this approach.
Prior to joining Resilience Lab, he earned his Master's degree in social work at Columbia University. While there, he built clinical experience providing counseling and other supportive in both middle school and university settings. Nathaniel has extensive experience working with children and adolescents as well as with challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, interpersonal stress, self-esteem, and grief. Therapy is a collaborative space, and Nathaniel utilizes various modalities depending on your specific needs as a client. He believes in an evidenced-based approach and has utilized practices like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness, as well as a combination of other interventions as needed.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, Nathaniel is currently only seeing clients remotely. When in-person services are available he will be based out of Resilience Lab's Upper East Side location.
