Dr. Roberto Colangeli is a licensed psychoanalyst in both New Jersey and New York state.

Dr. Colangeli practices in Jersey City, NJ, and specializes in depression, relational issues, immigration, and LGBTQ. Dr. Colangeli has a scientific background. He has a Ph.D. in Microbiology and a Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases, and has published articles in several scientific and psychoanalytic journals.

Dr. Colangeli was born in Europe and emigrated to the USA over 20 years ago.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Colangeli is only available for video sessions. After the pandemic, Dr. Colangeli wll be available for in person sessions in Jersey City and remote sessions in New York State.

The psychotherapeutic relationship can provide help and support for depression, anxiety and relationship issues.

My goal is to create a safe and trustworthy atmosphere where judgment is suspended so can work together to understand your needs and explore patterns of your behavior that are counterproductive.

I work with adult populations including immigrants and LBGT+ community. I speak fluent Italian and English.
