Professional statement

Sam is a caring and dedicated therapist working with adults (ages 18+) on their journey towards healing and personal growth. Sam’s approach to therapy is rooted in mindfulness, compassion, and accountability. Sam creates a non-judgmental space that allows clients to openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

Sam received a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 2020. She has experience working with individuals and groups in residential settings for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, an intensive outpatient program for eating disorders, and outpatient group practice. Sam is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher. She integrates mindfulness and somatic awareness techniques into therapy sessions to promote self-awareness and emotional regulation.

Sam is also an EMDR trained therapist working toward certification. EMDR can help to reprocess traumatic events and change the way an individual relates to traumatic memories. EMDR requires an evaluation process, and Sam will work with clients to determine if EMDR is a good fit for their needs.

Sam offers both in-person and telehealth sessions, and provides scheduling options with morning, daytime, and evening hours.

Whatever it is that you are navigating, I am committed to holding space for you and helping you to feel truly seen and heard.
