She works with adults of all ages. Many of Kaki’s clients come to therapy to address feeling overwhelmed or stuck or are struggling with self-esteem or life transitions. Kaki is particularly passionate about serving high achieving young professionals and college and graduate school-aged individuals. She also has advanced training in anxiety, body image issues, and trauma.
Kaki uses a variety of techniques and tools in therapy to provide personalized and effective care. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), clients will learn to identify how their thoughts and behaviors may be negatively impacting them and work to change how they approach situations in their lives. By using psychodynamic psychotherapy, Kaki and her clients examine their past experiences to illuminate patterns in their relationship with themselves and others that they hope to change. Kaki also enjoys using relational psychotherapy in order for clients to practice new ways of relating to others. In session, Kaki focuses on helping her clients generate new insights, implement skills, and get to know themselves better. Her approach helps clients feel more satisfied and fulfilled in their relationships, experience more joy, create a more balanced life, and make decisions that are more aligned with their values.
Kaki's style is active, engaging, and warm. Kaki welcomes individuals of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
Kaki received her MSW from The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. She has worked in college counseling centers for eight years and received extensive training in eating disorder treatment centers at all treatment levels. Outside of private practice, she loves hiking in the Tetons, cooking new recipes, and playing with her dog. All of Kaki’s sessions are currently held virtually through a HIPPA compliant platform.
