Sophia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the mental and behavioral health field since 2010. Based in Arizona, she specializes in helping overwhelmed professionals who appear to have it all together on the outside but struggle internally. She has deep compassion for those who take on the roles of caretaker, rescuer, fixer, and the ever-reliable "super" employee, parent, friend, sibling, etc.
Many of her clients live with anxiety, self-doubt, chronic stress, unprocessed grief and childhood trauma, mild depression, perfectionism, codependency, as well as painful relationship struggles. She provides tools to cope with everyday stressors in a better way while also guiding them in exploring and healing the deeper root causes of their distress. Sophia helps clients reconnect with and honor their true selves and values. Each approach is tailored to the unique needs of the individual.
Sophia takes a holistic approach, recognizing the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit. She understands how past experiences shape present challenges and integrates knowledge of the nervous system to help clients work with, rather than against, their natural responses. She prioritizes offering effective tools to foster real and lasting change.
Building a strong, client-centered relationship is at the heart of Sophia’s work. She brings her authentic, human self into each session, creating a warm and non-judgmental space for healing. As a seasoned therapist, she offers remote sessions with flexible, non-traditional hours, making it easier for busy professionals to invest in their well-being. Sophia is currently licensed to provide therapy to residents of Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
