Stephanie Day Morfitt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Los Angeles, CA. She welcomes adults who pay for therapy through insurance into her practice, as well as children, teenagers, and couples who pay privately for therapy. Many of her clients are highly anxious and have disruptive self-doubt. Often, they feel persistently sad, though they might not understand the source of their sadness. They seek therapy because they would like to find balance in their lives and learn how to break free of painful patterns.
When working with clients through insurance, Stephanie engages a therapy approach called TEAM-CBT, which stands for “Testing, Empathy, Agenda-Setting, and Methods Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.” This form of CBT provides a structure for the development of new patterns, especially thought patterns. For private pay clients, Stephanie’s approach to therapy expands to include mindfulness, self-compassion work, psychodynamic therapy, and the trauma resiliency model. Through these modalities, clients find that they feel lighter without negative emotions holding them down. They also feel more comfortable in their daily lives and their relationships, with improved communication skills.
Stephanie earned a Master’s degree from California State University Northridge. She believes that therapy is a powerful tool that can help clients find inner peace. She is a compassionate and kind therapist who wants the best for her clients and helps them achieve their mental health goals through the radical act of self-love.
