Professional statement

Dr. Tracy Carver is an award winning Licensed Psychologist offering confidential, one-on-one counseling to clients across Texas. In 2015, she launched her own company, Vibrant Counseling PLLC, a thriving private practice in Austin. Readers of Austin Fit Magazine voted her one of the Best Mental Health Professionals in Austin four years in a row (2016-2019). She has been featured in wikiHow, Austin Monthly, Austin Woman Magazine, Life in Travis Heights, and on KVUE – the Austin affiliate of ABC news.

When it comes to health and wellness, Dr. Carver doesn't believe in a quick fix. Instead, she believes in finding long-term solutions to lifelong struggles. For some clients, this could mean collaborating once per week over the span of three months. For other clients, this could mean a multi-year collaboration. In both cases, the goal is to cultivate a more peaceful mind, awaken to your natural state of vitality and vibrancy, and foster deep healing from the inside out.

No matter the reason you’re seeking help, you can expect an approach filled with compassion, empathy, humor, and plenty of heart. Dr. Carver's style is flexible and collaborative. You’ll have the freedom to discuss whatever's on your mind in a comfortable environment without feeling judged or criticized. She is an expert at helping you spend less time worrying and more time enjoying life.

Dr. Carver holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She trained at Harvard University, completing a full-time internship in Clinical Psychology through Harvard Medical School. In addition, she is a 200 hour certified yoga teacher, a 200 hour certified meditation teacher, and a Level 2 iRest Yoga Nidra meditation teacher.

Message to clients

One of my favorite parts of being a therapist is getting to know new clients — I enjoy discovering what makes you unique and figuring out how I can best serve you in my role as a therapist. While I bring years of experience to our sessions, I'm also deeply invested in understanding your individual experiences and I'm always curious to learn more about you.

Current clients have told me they appreciate my sense of humor and my calm, grounded presence. They've said therapy has helped them see their lives from a different perspective and that their problems seem simpler and more manageable now. They've appreciated that I'm a reliable source of support when times are tough and when dependable friends may be hard to come by.

Expect me to challenge you when you need to be challenged. I'll provide you with honest feedback and will share my opinion when I think it's necessary. And even when I'm gently pointing out that feeling you're avoiding feeling or that not-so-obvious thing you always do in relationships, you'll know it's coming from an empathic, loving place.
