Professional statement

Mental Health. Care. Together.

Are you looking to find a mental health provider that listens to you in a way that makes you feel seen? Who helps you unravel the mystery behind your concerns? Who listens deeply and creates a space for you to heal, feel safe, and grow into the person you’ve always wished to be? Who sees your lived experience as invaluable as their own?

Shinichi's therapeutic treatments are individualized for each person. He integrates psychiatry and psychotherapy from Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and the University of Southern California, global mental health work including Boston, Peru, Japan, Switzerland, and the Kingdom of Lesotho, his experience as a first-generation immigrant and treating refugees throughout the U.S., and senior level advisement and management experience working in some of the top performing organizations globally. What results are a balanced, person-centered and empathy driven treatment based on unique insights treating a mosaic of individuals from 15+ countries globally and urban and rural areas throughout the United States.

Shinichi is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner providing individual psychotherapy and psychiatric medication management to adults age 18+ via telehealth. He accepts patients of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and backgrounds, with national and global expertise treating BIPOC communities. He is an LGBTQIA affirming provider. He currently directs mental health services for a community nonprofit addressing homelessness and clinical faculty at Drexel.

Whether you're a frontline healthcare worker, work for a Fortune 500 company, run a nationwide political campaign, a stay a home Dad, an entrepreneur, a college or graduate student, or new immigrant to the U.S., your story and struggles are ones Shinichi can connect directly to his professional experiences. Most importantly, the path to heal and grow is a place he's helped innumerable people navigate before.
