Professional statement

Alex Boianghu is a Licensed Professional Counselor, providing individual and couples therapy online for clients all over the world. Alex has been a psychotherapist for 30 years and brings his extensive clinical and educational history to life with compassion and wisdom. Alex has an integrative approach which seamlessly integrates four streams of therapeutic approaches: Jungian Psychoanalysis, Somatic Psychotherapy, Trauma-EMDR Therapy, Nondual(East-West) Therapy. Alex approaches each client with the attitude and conviction that there is fundamentally "nothing wrong with you" and the goal of therapy is to experience our fundamental unified wholeness.

Alex holds a Masters degree in Counseling specializing in Couples therapy and several certificates related to EMDR, trauma treatment, yoga therapy, and meditation instruction.

Alex has studied under several preeminent teachers rooted in Eastern traditions and incorporates methods used for thousands of years in helping to heal our wounds and return to a state of Unity-Oneness.

Alex continues to educate himself in the field- most recently completing a year long training program to become a certified meditation teacher, as well as holding an advanced certificate as a Yoga instructor. At the heart of healing, breathwork is essential, and Alex teaches the art of mindful breathing as an integral part of the healing journey.

Are you ready to take the Journey to Wholeness? If yes, please join me on the most important adventure of your life- to the core of BEING.

Message to clients

At the heart of therapy is love! Love of oneself- trust in oneself- and the full expression of oneself. Each session will always focus on healing old wounds and giving room to be who you have always been- free and radiant. Therapy is about going to the core- each seeming issue invariably conveys the root causes of suffering. Our habitual conditioning used for survival in life becomes rigid and outdated and it takes courage and love to let go and live freely.

The most important factor in healing is your willingness and dedication to the process beyond the therapy room. I ask everyone working with me to read, reflect, contemplate and then come prepared to sessions with their insights. It is this active approach that makes you feel empowered to cope effectively with all of life's adventures- which is what life is- a teacher guiding us back to our truth- Therapy is the process of returning home to our original wholeness.

I look forward to taking that journey with you- get your backpack, hiking boots, and equipment ready for the most important of all destinations- back to YOURSELF.
