Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFTCarolyn Frances is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Tracy, CA. She works primarily with kids (3 and up) and couples, in addition to adults. She often sees people who are struggling with navigating a turning point in their life, who desire to challenge and conquer long standing problems such as anxiety or trauma, or who are wading through depression, divorce, or the work of growing up. Carolyn is particularly passionate about serving youth and has spent additional time to become a registered play therapist. She also enjoys offering creative groups. She sees clients in person.
Carolyn has training in Gottman's couples counseling methods as well as Emotionally Focused couples counseling, which are the only two empirically validated methods for successful therapeutic work with couples. She also has hours of play therapy training and serves on the California board for play therapy and is currently pursuing credentialing for animal assisted play therapy. In session, Carolyn focuses on meeting you where you are and walking with you. She supports her clients in finding meaning, solutions, skills, and connection.
Carolyn's style is caring and creative. When a client first comes in, she focuses on their story and the different approaches available. She encourages her clients to provide feedback on how therapy is going and strives to be an experienced partner as they work through their challenges. Carolyn is dedicated to providing a relationship that is accepting, supportive, and positive.
