Professional statement

Haig Barsegian grew up in the state of Michigan and moved to California in the 60's. Haig was single, working in the airline industry, and was enjoying the travel and postings in other countries. He lived and worked in Japan for 2 years and in Singapore for 2 years. He decided to become a therapist in his 20's and received his B.A. in Psychology.

Later, Haig earned his Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California. He worked for 7 years with an agency that provided mental health and case management services to the homeless and for the past 8 years with seniors, many of whom have serious medical conditions that render them homebound. In addition, he provided therapy to their care givers.

Over the years, Haig has engaged clients from all walks of life in over 6,000 therapy sessions, primarily in the Cognitive Behavioral and Motivational Interviewing therapy protocols. He also has certification in Grief and Mourning and in Spiritual counseling.

Haig is also an Adjunct Professor in the Psychology Department at California State University, Dominguez Hills in the Los Angeles area.
