Professional statement

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker offering therapy and supervision to individuals, couples, and families. I provide in person sessions in East Greenwich, RI and telehealth throughout Rhode Island and Connecticut. With over a decade of experience, I help patients manage anxiety, navigate life transitions, and improve relationships. I also support those processing trauma, exploring identity, or facing challenges related to parenting, career, or independence. My style is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I offer structure when needed, ask meaningful questions to support insight, and provide practical strategies for self care and routines.

In our first session, we will talk about what brings you in, clarify your goals, and identify a focus for our work together. I have a special interest in working with individuals who are processing trauma and those struggling with anxiety, helping them to build resilience and regain control over their emotional well being. As an LGBTQ+ ally, I provide a safe, affirming space for individuals exploring their identity and facing challenges related to gender and sexuality.

My clinical background includes working in schools, outpatient settings, and integrated care. I use an eclectic approach grounded in psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and attachment based theories. I tailor therapy to each person’s needs, recognizing that progress takes time and often begins with small but important wins. Therapy is a place to take care of yourself and begin creating meaningful change. Whether we are exploring your past, problem solving day to day challenges, or identifying what matters most to you, I aim to create a space where you feel respected and supported. In addition to individual therapy, I offer extended sessions for couples, immigration evaluations, and clinical supervision. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy being outdoors, playing softball, traveling, and making memories with my loved ones.

Message to clients

My specialties are self discovery and stronger relationships. I help patients develop a deeper sense of self and create more connected and fulfilling relationships. Our work may focus on emotional insight, communication, or navigating change, depending on your needs.

Self Discovery and Understanding Yourself

Therapy is an opportunity to better understand yourself and move through life with more clarity and intention. I help patients explore how the past shows up in the present, clarify values, and work through painful experiences. Together we make space for emotional insight and self acceptance while also building practical tools for everyday life. Whether you are navigating anxiety, identity questions, or big life transitions, our work will be grounded in respect, curiosity, and your unique strengths. I also support college students, professionals, and entrepreneurs who are working toward independence, structure, or career fulfillment.

Stronger Relationships and Feeling More Connected

Whether you are in a long term partnership, coparenting, or rethinking your role in your family or friendships, therapy can help. I support couples and individuals in identifying patterns, improving communication, setting boundaries, and building or rebuilding trust. My work includes support for blended families, adoption, divorce, and relationship repair. I also work with those who feel stuck in painful cycles and want help creating healthier connections. My approach is affirming and inclusive, with a special interest in helping patients feel more connected to themselves and others.

Specialties

Relationship issues - If you are struggling in your relationships, whether with a partner, family member, or friend, therapy is a place to take care of yourself and begin creating meaningful change. I help clients explore patterns, set boundaries, and communicate more effectively. Together, we can identify what you need in your relationships and how to navigate them with greater clarity and confidence.

Anxiety - Anxiety can feel overwhelming, whether it shows up as overthinking, irritability, panic, or difficulty concentrating. I help clients understand how anxiety works, develop tools that fit their lives, and reduce self criticism. In our work, we will build self-awareness and develop strategies that support your emotional well being.

Life transitions - Changes such as starting college, becoming a parent, ending a relationship, or shifting careers can bring up uncertainty, grief, and stress. I support clients through transitional times by providing structure, validation, and practical tools. Therapy offers space to adjust, reflect, and move forward with intention.

Trauma - Trauma may show up as emotional numbness, guilt, shame, fear, or disconnection from others. I help patients work through the effects of trauma at a pace that feels safe and respectful. Our sessions can include insight building, grounding techniques, and support for both emotional and logistical challenges that arise as you heal.

Couples counseling - Couples seek therapy for many reasons, including communication breakdowns, parenting challenges, trust issues, or a desire to feel more connected. I provide a structured space where both partners can feel heard and understood. My approach helps couples clarify needs, improve communication, and strengthen their relationship with honesty and care.

Self-esteem - Self-esteem issues often involve feeling not good enough, struggling with self-doubt, or putting others needs ahead of your own. I help patients identify where these patterns come from and begin to shift them. Therapy can support you in building self respect, confidence, and the ability to trust your own voice.
