Lauren has over a decade of experience in the mental health field and specializes in relational issues. She helps individuals, couples, and families break negative relational patterns through understanding and healing of emotional pain in order to move forward with hope and connection.
Specific issues many clients come to Lauren for support with include high conflict relationships, communication issues, dating issues, difficulty finding or maintaining a relationship, infidelity, lack of intimacy, grieving the loss of a relationship, divorce or break-ups, negotiating roles in the relationship, and more.
Lauren has received advanced training in the evidence-based approaches of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as training in Functional Family Therapy (FFT), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She is trauma informed and LGBTQ+ affirming. Lauren is knowledgeable and affirming of open or non-monogamous relationships. She has extensive experience working with fellow mental health providers, as wells as individuals working in the legal and financial field, and entrepreneurs.
Lauren’s practice is completely virtual which allows her to work with clients anywhere in California. Virtual therapy provides increased comfort and flexibility for clients. Clients are able to easily fit sessions into their busy lives. Clients often share that having sessions in a setting familiar to them creates a sense of security that allows them to feel safer in going deeper in therapy more quickly.
