Professional statement

Matthew Kijak, LCSW, is a licensed therapist based in California, specializing in helping individuals navigate a wide range of mental health challenges. His approach is centered around empathy and evidence-based practices, incorporating interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, ancient stoic practices, and Eastern philosophy to help clients improve their mood and foster well-being.

One thing that sets his practice apart is his ability to use ketamine assisted psychotherapy. He offers a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms.

He holds a Master's degree in Social Work and has experience working in various settings, including private practice, community mental health, and hospital settings. His goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences and work towards healing and growth.

His office is located in California and he's also available for remote sessions. He offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate clients' busy schedules and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds. He is committed to providing accessible and inclusive care and will do his best to help clients alleviate worry, anxiety, depression, anger, and negative thoughts to awaken and reinvigorate the best parts of themselves again.
