Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Master of Social Work, MSWMeaghan Kane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Atascadero, CA. Meaghan supports clients who struggle with their mood, whether they’re highly anxious and constantly worried or they often feel too low to leave the warmth of their beds. Many of Meaghan’s clients find it difficult to find motivation to complete tasks or to make changes in their lives. They might feel disconnected from others, leading to feelings of loneliness. Others feel stressed because of relationship conflicts in their lives, often struggling to feel loved or cared for.
Meaghan provides nonjudgmental, compassionate therapy services. She practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a therapy modality that links together thoughts, feelings, and actions. Clients identify harmful thought patterns that hold them back from feeling worthy of health and love. They reduce their cognitive distortions and their self-criticism, instead implementing routines of self-compassion. Meaghan also helps clients set goals, including sub-goals towards reaching their overall mental health goals. She coaches clients through progress, celebrating all of the wins and providing gentle guidance once clients hit a roadblock. She encourages clients to be reflective of their feelings, and to process through what’s happening in their lives during each session.
Meaghan earned a Master’s degree in Social Work. She strives to instill hope and joy into her clients lives so they can find the motivation to make healthy changes that lead to fulfillment and connection with others.
