She/Her/Hers
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCShe/Her/Hers
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCMichelle Zapotoski is a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Mountaintop, PA. Michelle works with adults 18 years and older, with a focus on career-related issues for women. Many of her clients are struggling with a lack of confidence, lack of assertiveness skills, work/life balance, perfectionism, anxiety in a high pressure career, and toxic work environments. Michelle has vast experience working with women college-age and older struggling to find their strengths and identity inside and outside of their career. Michelle is exceptional in working with clients experiencing work-based anxiety.
Michelle uses evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy clients turn weaknesses into strengths and address barriers to growth. Clients typically establish their ways of interacting with work/school/people and are unsure of how to manage or change their approaches; resulting in anxiety and behavioral cycles that are negative and unpleasant for the client.
Michelle is committed to her client's progress--her style is compassionate, interactive, non-judgmental, and tailored to the individual client. Michelle helps the client identify the ways in which they do not need to change who they are, but find a way to love themself and use their voice. She uses an endless supply of positive regard for the client; understanding how, for many, she is the only person who "sees" them.
Michelle offers in-person or telehealth sessions, depending on the preference of the client. Clients will be engaged in the goal-setting and therapeutic process.
