Professional statement

Hello! I’ve been a therapist for over 18 years with a passion and commitment to help clients overcome addiction and/or mental health issues. During my time, I have worked with diverse populations and developed expertise in various treatment modalities.

My primary focus is working with adults struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem, life transitions, and interpersonal challenges. Using evidence-based practices, I utilize distinct, culturally-appropriate, multidimensional interventions based on client needs and goals.

Having a positive therapeutic experience starts with a trusting relationship. My approach is to motivate and challenge my client’s potential so that through hard work and self-determination they can achieve the level of success and happiness they deserve.

Clients have described me as compassionate, motivating, caring, committed and displaying a sense of humor, while being challenging, direct and honest throughout the process. By giving clients my undivided attention, education, guidance, empathy and empowerment, I create a supportive, safe, non-judgmental space where they can process emotions and experience interpersonal changes in their journey of healing and growth.

I provide individual, family and couples psychotherapy. Sessions are offered in-person or via telehealth. Walking therapy is also available based on individual needs and comfort level. Call me for a free consultation and let’s get started!

Message to clients

Therapy can be an emotionally painful and difficult process and seeking professional help takes courage, motivation and desire to change. But with a supportive relationship, commitment and time, therapy can also be an empowering and rewarding investment in transforming your unhealthy patterns of thinking/behaving and achieving emotional healing, interpersonal growth and healthy relationships.

My clients work on gaining insight about their dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors. Clients learn to focus on finding solutions by identifying their strengths and past successes to address challenges or conflicts that may be hindering them from achieving desired goals, emotional well-being and healthy interpersonal relationships.

Our experiences and life narratives are unique. However, we possess the ability to imagine and act upon new life choices and design a new vision of ourselves. I hope you will allow me the privilege to be a part of your process and journey!
