Welcome to Counseling Services at Steele Creek, PLLC! We offer a variety of services to help each individual, family or relationship move through difficult times and struggles in their lives. Our goal is to meet each person where they are in life, walk them through difficulties they may be suffering, and help them find the tools to regain strength and resilence. We offer professional supervision for provisional counselors and have openings to join our team! This practice is created to be a place for clinicians and clients to grow, be creative, find their balance and joy in life. Each session is personalized to meet the needs of the client. We adjust to changes in life, help clients adjust to difficulties, work through trauma, and repair relationships. We diversified our training and specializations among our team to ensure that we can help with as many needs as possible. Our office hours are designed to assist clients with busy schedules as well as providing the flexibility of telehealth when it is needed.

Counseling Services at Steele Creek, PLLC is located in South Charlotte, NC. We offer services for individuals, couples, groups, and families. We have a diverse array of skill sets within the practice in order to accomodate each stage of life and the struggles that occur. Our goal is provide tools, therapeutic processes and interventions that will help our clients be able to move through healing, life changes, struggles, and emotional pain in a safe, clinically designed way. Our goal is to move our clients through the therapeutic process, effecting positive changes in their lives, and giving them tools to use for the rest of their lives.

What are your practice's specialties?

The therapist at Counseling Services at Steele Creek, PLLC specialize in a wide variety of areas. These include eating disorders, behavioral management in children and adolescents, anxiety, depression, Mood regulation, addressing trauma, grief and loss, depression and anxiety due to aging/medical issues, life changes/guidance for young adults, relationship management, couples counseling, and art therapy. We work with young children, adolescents, young adults, adults and older adults. When any relationship is impacting the individual, we specialize in providing sessions with that relationship. We also offer family therapy, co-parenting assistance, and group therapy. Our goal is to provide a holistic approach to mental health to allow for maximum positive impact for each client.

Counseling Services at Steele Creek, PLLC is unique in that all of our providers work under the supervision of our lead clinician/owner who has 35 years of mental health experience in a wide variety of settings and experiences. This allows each clinician to grow within their specific areas of talent. Clinicians take a team approach, consulting with one another, finding resources within the community for each client, and being prepared to offer individualized care to each client on their caseload. We have extensive training in DBT, eating disorders, trauma work, and experiential techniques. We provide Christian counseling, if this is not requested we allow our faith to guide us through our profession without imposing it on the client. We are also unique in that we find it very important to address relationships in the client's life that could be impacting mental health.

How does payment work at your practice?

We accept BCBS, Aetna, and United Healthcare. We will submit claims on your behalf, you will only be responsible for your copay. We ask clients to be please be aware of copays and deductibles before attending appointments. If we do not accept your insurance, we will provide you with invoices to submit. Our cost is $150 for the initial session and $120 for every session following. Our couples and family sessions are $150, they are often longer than 1 hour.

We accept all forms of credit cards, HSA, FSA, and cash for payment.

We understand that therapy needs to be consistent to be effective. We offer after 6pm appointments, 6pm and 7pm, to accomodate work and school schedules.

Therapist's note

We charge $150 for intakes and family therapy sessions. These appointments typically run 1 1/2 hours. We ask that all clients have a payment method on file within our client portal when appointments are set.

We also offer a payment plan that will help clients without insurance or are in the deductible to front load their payments with a discount. Ask about these plans when you are making your appointment.
