Practice Information

At 14 Peaks Neurophysiological Trauma Treatment, we start with the question, “What makes this make sense?” We work hard to solve the puzzle of the presenting behavior or the stuck nervous system that brought you to counseling. We work through the lens of neuroscience, searching for why the nervous system is stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or appease. We seek to rest the nervous system through the lens of neuroscience.

For those with developmental trauma, there is often an inability to shed those last bits of flashbacks, sensation issues, hypervigilance, or dysregulation. This is where we go beyond the typical therapy approach. We treat current trauma events and can also treat those that happened in early life, as early as in utero.

14 Peaks Neurophysiological Trauma Treatment targets gaps in brain development that often manifest as auto-immune disease, mood disorders, prolonged depression, and baseline anxiety.

We integrate therapies, tailoring them to your needs. A treatment plan for you is created as we listen to your story. We walk beside you as we reset your nervous system to a sense of safety. This allows you to live with curiosity, flexibility, and joy!

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

14 Peaks is a full-service therapy group practice serving children, teens, adults, and families. We offer individual, couples, and family sessions.

What are your practice's specialties?

Our therapist specializes in helping you to reset the nervous system. This is achieved using Neurophysiological Trauma Treatment based on somatic therapy and neuroscience. Our therapists are all somatic therapists. Our specialties include trauma, PTSD, somatic issues, autoimmune diseases, and developmental trauma. We also have therapists specializing in working with first responders, veterans, foster care, and adoption.

Why should I choose your practice?

We get to the root of the problem, changing the nervous system and working memory. Our therapists have done their own work. This means they have had therapy as well. We know what it is like to live with trauma and then experience the freedom to walk through life again without triggers, flashbacks, unwanted sensations, and negative thoughts. We believe in our therapy because we have experienced it. This is trauma treatment that works.

How does payment work at your practice?

Payments are easily made by credit card through our practice management system, Simple Practice. Your credit card will be charged automatically after each session. You will receive a receipt that day. On the tenth of the month, you will receive a superbill, that may be used to file with your insurance company.
