Daria Stepanian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Los Angeles, CA. She is passionate about working with millennials, healing from relationships & codependency, and grief & loss.
Daria provides therapy services to individuals, young adults, and adults. Her therapeutic approach combines many orientations, but finds herself utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Solution Focus. She guides clients to understand how their thoughts, emotions and behaviors are connected, how their past relationships impact them, manage negative and overwhelming thoughts and emotions, make targeted change in their unhealthy habits, cultivate healthy relationships, and embrace their true self.
Daria believes the greatest impact in therapy depends on the collaboration and interaction between the therapist and client. Regardless of the struggles a client has, opening up can be difficult unless the relationship between the therapist and client feels safe, supportive, respectful and non-judgmental, which is the type of space Daria holds for her clients. Daria believes in meeting her clients where they are in their healing journey and tailors how she works, interventions and techniques she uses, to meet her client’s needs and goals.
Daria received her MA in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy, from Pepperdine University. She gained experience offering therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, adults and couples in community mental health, drug & alcohol treatment centers, and in group private practice. Daria is excited to welcome new clients and help them reconnect with their mind, body and soul, and help create the changes they want to make.
