Professional statement

Diego Hall is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Santa Rosa, CA. Diego is passionate about helping clients bring their dreams to the forefront of their lives and taking steps towards making those dreams reality. He works with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression, multicultural issues, gender issues, and relationship conflict. He also specializes in supporting athletes to enhance their performance, combat perfectionism or high pressure, and increase their focus.

Diego uses a blended approach in his therapy practice that incorporates client-centered and humanistic foundations as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and play therapy. He teaches clients to identify negative or harmful thought patterns that lead to difficult emotions. Diego models healthy relationship behaviors when working with clients to help them recognize and do away with the root of their conflicts with others. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), which is an evidence-based therapy that helps clients move past traumatic memories.

Diego creates a positive, comfortable atmosphere for clients of all backgrounds and identities. His goal is to empower clients to prioritize their dreams and take the necessary steps to boosting their mental health. Clients leave sessions with Diego with next steps on their journey and tangible ways to change their lives.

Message to clients

Are you ready to make a difference in your life? I hope that we will work together to unlock your inner potential. Many of us have dreams we leave on the back burner as we pursue a conventional life. At times, we lose hope in the pursuit, and it feels like the world is caving in around us. Externally we appear stable; hidden internally, we may gain characteristics of anxiety and depression. My goal is to help you gain clarity in what you wish to achieve in this lifetime and to help you find the reason behind this uneasiness. Together, we can formulate a "roadmap" to navigate the rocky, ever-changing road of life.

I provide a general therapy practice and specialize in the care of anger, anxiety, depression, men's issues, multicultural issues, teens, and relationship concerns. My approach integrates Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Humanistic, and Play Therapy.

Additionally, I am trained in EMDR and Sports Psychology. I work with Athletes and Performers by integrating Peak Performance Psychology. This work aims to develop healthy practice skills, positive self-talk, and improving focus.
