Professional statement

Robyn Sheiniuk has dedicated over 25 years to working with clients experiencing trauma and all the impact trauma causes. Trauma can leave you feeling depressed, numb, wanting to isolate, anxious, irritible, sad, feeling like you can't trust anyone or not wanting to engage in life. Traumas can be both big and small like a car accident, a sexual assualt, or repeated experiences from your childhood that left you feeling alone, like no one understood you, or feeling like you didn't belong in your family.

Through the use of EMDR we'll help you re-process those traumas and less the intensity of the emotions attached to them. EMDR uses eye movements to help your brain reprocess trauma. jRobyn has seen tremendous success using EMDR with clients who have participated in traditional talk therapy without getting the relief they were looking for. In addition to EMDR, Robyn uses Psychodynamic therapy to help you understand how your past has created the person who you are now, and how your feelings and reactions are connected to your past so that you can create new responses to help you live a happier, more satisfying life.

Robyn Sheiniuk has worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from children and adolescents to adults, couples and families. Robyn has served as a Supervisor to other therapists and a Director of a variety of mental health programs both in LA and NJ. She's been exclusively in Private Practice since 2015, and now sees her clients all over CA via telehealth.

Message to clients

What you want more than anything right now is to feel confident and whole so that you can be engaged in your relationships, at work, with your life. For that to happen though, you need someone who understands all the ways that trauma impacts your mind and body and can make it safe enough for you to give voice to all the ways it’s impacted you, then take you through the process of healing so you can feel stronger and ready to live the life you’re longing for. But just talking about it can be scary, and the ways you've dealt with it so far aren't working and have left you feeling like you're falling apart inside.

Traumas can leave us with cracks in our foundation, and I'm here to help you fix them. Our work together will fill in those cracks created by trauma, and leave you feeling stronger.

I use EMDR therapy which involves eye movements to help your brain re-process traumas. It’s different than traditional talk-therapy, and has produced great results for people with trauma, anxiety, and depression. Call today to schedule your free 20 minute consultation so that can stop feeling the pain, anxiety and depression that trauma as inflicted.
