Dr. Dambrocia, a licensed psychologist, has over 34 years experience of consulting, teaching, and private practice psychotherapy treatment. He began his career in Massachusetts, as the Director of the Occupational Therapy department at Westborough State Hospital then transitioning into the Marlborough/Westborough Mental Community Mental Health Clinic as a Psychotherapist. As a clinician there, he served as a liaison with Adolescent Community Centers and school personnel as well as being a member of the clinic’s Marriage and Family Treatment Team.
While in Massachusetts from 1981 to 1986 , Dr. Dambrocia taught at Anna Maria College in Paxton, both at the Graduate and Undergraduate levels. He taught a range of courses: Marriage and Family Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and Contemporary Psychotherapies, to name a few. Over the final three years of his tenure at Anna Marie he was the Director of Student Counseling Services. After relocating to California in 1986, Dr. Dambrocia assisted in developing the Eating Disorder Treatment program at Cypress College and later went on to instruct in the Eating Disorder curriculum at Saddleback College.
As a consultant and a coach, Dr Dambrocia's experience dates back to 1978. The focus of this work has been to increase efficacy and productivity within the business setting. Since then the diversity of his clients have included but are not limited to: mom and pop manufacturing businesses, police departments and police training institutes, newspaper organizations, veterinary medicine clinics and large retail organizations.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dambrocia has maintained a private practice. He is currently located in Newport Beach, Californina. As a benefit of his extensive career, Dr. Dambrocia is able to use an eclectic approach including EMDR, Mindufulness , Positive Psychology, CBT as well as other traditional approaches to give the client the best chance to succeed.
