Message to clients

Are you feeling stuck in a certain pattern of thoughts or behaviors that you find worrisome or troubling? At times, our struggles take over and interfere with our ability to appreciate the things we love and care about. Your mind is a powerful force that can make you thrive or make you ill.

You are worth taking the time to make room for new ways of thinking and behaving. You’ll be encouraged to identify your strengths and reach your full potential in a non-judgemental, yet direct approach to counseling.

Realizing that most problems don’t have just one layer, therapy can’t have just one approach. Simply put, each person is unique. Each is multifaceted and requires recognition and acceptance of those characteristics in the therapy setting. The relationship in therapy is based on finding that particular healthy balance, between challenging and supporting, that will be necessary for you to make the changes that will help you be happier and healthier.

The relationship you have with your therapist is of the utmost importance. My style is supportive, direct and interactive and encouraging. It is important to help you strengthen your inner voice and develop positive coping tools and insight that you will take with you to use for the rest of your life. Devoting the time to care for yourself will not only allow you develop presence of mind but also to create meaningful relationships with others.

The intent of therapy is to assist YOU in developing your own voice.
