Andrew’s approach is science-based. When we interact with coworkers, friends, family members or significant others, things like implicit memory and the amygdala are running the show. Andrew helps clients understand how they’re wired, what’s happening inside in moments of stress, and how to manage it all.
It’s also an evidence-based approach. With couples, Andrew utilizes PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) to help identify how they’re each “wired” with regard to relationships, and how to get their needs met. With individuals, he blends EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) with Internal Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, attachment theory, and mindfulness-based practices.
Andrew is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, an EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapist, and a TBHI-Certified Telebehavioral Health Practitioner. His office is located at 870 Market Street in San Francisco, in the historic Flood Building. Sessions are by video or in-person for California residents, and by video for Colorado residents.
